About This Project

The village square in Schwyz ranks among the most beautiful throughout all of Switzerland. It is in part thanks to the Town Hall.  Built in 1642--1645, the town hall murals were painted in 1891 by Ferdinand Wagner, of Munich, to celebrate 600 years of Swiss Confederacy.  The murals are among the first examples of use of Keim Mineral Silcate paints and have been retouched only twice since.
