Developed by Las Vegas Sands, it is the world's most expensive building at US$ 4.7 billion including the cost of the prime land.



Marina Bay Sands is situated on 38.3 acres of land with a gross floor area of 6,251,560 square feet. 


The iconic design has transformed Singapore's skyline and tourism landscape since it opened on 27 April 2010.

Challenges Precast and cast in place concrete required protection from harsh tropical weather, wind driven rain, and erosion.

Exceptional long life decorative finishes were required to provide both weather protection and extended recoating periods lowering life cycle costs.
Solutions KEIM Royalan exterior silicate coating was specified because it is engineered specifically for tropical and coastal environments. Royalan penetrates and chemically bonds with mineral surfaces, never peeling or blistering like regular paint coatings. Its unique mineral structure is highly vapor permeable to maintain natural moisture balance keeping buildings dry. Using only inorganic UV-stable pigments and natural mineral fillers, KEIM colors will never fade, no matter how harsh the environment.
